• Cranes and Derricks in Construction

  • Subpart CC of 29 CFR Part 1926 Cranes and Derricks in Construction standard applies to cranes and derricks when used in construction activities.

    For 60 days after February 07 2019. OSHA will not cite businesses that fail to properly document crane operator certification. By April 15, 2019, OSHA will begin fully enforcing the new crane operator certification rule.

    Evaluation Requirements

    Employers are responsible for evaluating. Evaluations must be documented and made available on the work site and include:

    • Operators name
    • Evaluator name and signature
    • Evaluation date
    • Make and model and configuration of equipment
