Comprehensive Mobile Crane Operator Course

To help crane operators comply with the updated OSHA 1926.1400 regulations, which mandate certification through a nationally accredited agency for those working in construction or engaging in construction-related activities, AP Crane Training provides a Comprehensive Mobile Crane Operator Course to prepare operators for the NCCCO Accredited Certification Testing.

Our Live Webinar prep course is specifically designed to equip participants with the knowledge needed to successfully pass both the General Knowledge (Core Exam) and Crane-Specific Exam(s) (Specialty Exams; SMT, TSS, TLL, LBC/LBW).

We are excited to guide you through the CCO mobile crane operator certification process. Our training program is designed to ensure you are fully prepared for the Written examination. Here’s how the program will proceed:

  • Academic Training:
    • Objective: To build a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge essential for crane operation.
    • Activities: Classroom sessions covering key topics such as site assessment, operational procedures, technical knowledge, and load charts.
    • Duration: 2 days (Candidates will be able to attend multiple live webinars until they pass their exam.)

Offsite or On-Site Practical Examinations

  • Objective: To demonstrate competency and skill in passing the NCCCO Practical examinations. (***Will be done by an AP Partner)
  • Procedure: You will be sent to an authorized testing site where you will perform various tasks to meet the certification requirements or we can point you to an organization that can come onsite to perform the Practical examinations at your facility.
  • Details: We will provide you with all the necessary information and support to schedule and complete your practical exams.

- For the Practical examinations, we will provide additional information on a Partner that can provide the practical examinations or guide you to an offsite location for testing. (Fees not included in the proposal as they will be paid to the accreditation directly.)

- Practical Test Video to understand what will be asked during the Practical exam.

- Please see the NCCCO Application fees for the Written and Practical exams. These fees will be paid when an operator creates their NCCCO Portal through the NCCCO Website (refer to the Candidate Handbook for NCCCO Fees).

- This structured approach ensures you are thoroughly prepared, combining comprehensive academic training with practical experience before you take your final examinations.
